What you get

  • A full Odoo Enterprise rollout across the modules you actually need — Odoo Accounting, Odoo Inventory, CRM, Sales, Purchase, Manufacturing (MRP), and Odoo Studio where low-code configuration fits
  • GST 2.0 configuration: HSN codes, tax masters and price lists remapped to the 5%/18%/40% structure that took effect on 22 September 2025
  • IRN e-invoicing through Odoo’s native integration with the Invoice Registration Portal via a government-licensed GSP (per Odoo’s documentation) — IRN and QR code on every covered invoice
  • The GSTR calendar configured: GSTR-1 with filing-validation checks, GSTR-2B fetch-and-reconcile, GSTR-3B summary report and GSTIN verification
  • Indian payroll localisation configured: PF with the statutory wage-ceiling option, ESIC, state-wise Professional Tax, LWF, gratuity accrual and TDS
  • Data migration from Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books or Excel, with opening balances reconciled before cutover
  • Role-based training for finance, operations, sales and admin users, with UAT scripts and a rehearsed go-live plan

How an Indian rollout runs

Most Indian mid-market implementations take 3–6 months from kickoff to go-live. Fixed-scope proposals in INR, with the fee fixed per scope before the build. GST 2.0 remapping, e-invoicing and GSTR reporting are configured and tested inside Configure and Migrate — not after go-live.

Discover

1–2 weeks. Process mapping, requirements, success metrics — a written scope document and a fixed quote in INR.

Design

2–3 weeks. Solution blueprint: apps, workflows, integrations, data model — signed off in writing before configuration starts.

Configure

4–8 weeks. Odoo configuration, Odoo Studio tailoring, integrations, role-based access — local compliance set up here.

Migrate

2–4 weeks. Data migration with validation cycles and user acceptance testing before anything touches production.

Go-live

1–2 weeks, plus hypercare. Cutover, go-live support and hypercare until Odoo is simply how you work.

Optimise

Ongoing. Post-go-live tuning, reporting, and an upgrade roadmap.

Stalled mid-project with another partner?

If your Odoo project is mid-flight with another partner — or stalled entirely — we run a takeover assessment before we quote anything. We audit the configuration, the custom code, the data quality and the integration landscape — including the e-invoicing (IRN) link — and put in writing what is worth keeping, what needs rebuilding, and what it will take to reach go-live. You keep your Odoo subscription and your data; switching partners is a technical exercise, not a negotiation.

Assess before you commit

A discovery call with a senior consultant — working IST, remote-first from our Dubai headquarters — puts scope, timeline and a fixed quote in INR in writing.

Indian compliance, configured from day one

Indian rollouts fail on tax hygiene more often than on features. GST 2.0 (effective 22 September 2025) collapsed the rate structure to 5% and 18% with a 40% de-merit rate — every HSN code, tax master and open document had to be remapped, and we do that remapping deliberately, not by find-and-replace. E-invoicing is mandatory above ₹5 crore aggregate annual turnover since 1 August 2023, and once triggered the obligation persists: Odoo integrates natively with the Invoice Registration Portal through a government-licensed GSP (per Odoo’s documentation), with IRN and QR on the invoice and a cancellation flow. The GSTR rhythm — GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th, monthly GSTR-2B reconciliation — runs out of Odoo’s Indian reports. And Odoo payroll is officially localised for India: PF, ESIC, state-wise Professional Tax, LWF, gratuity and TDS. Your accountant reviews and approves the rules; we make Odoo produce exactly what they need.

Odoo implementation FAQs — India

Is Odoo compliant with India’s e-invoicing (IRN) mandate?

Yes — for businesses above ₹5 crore aggregate annual turnover, e-invoicing has been mandatory since 1 August 2023. Odoo integrates natively with the Invoice Registration Portal through a government-licensed GSP (per Odoo’s documentation): the invoice carries its IRN and QR code, and cancellations flow through the same path. We configure and test the full cycle before go-live.

How much does Odoo implementation cost in India?

Fixed scope, quoted in INR. A single-workstream rollout gets its binding number from the fixed-fee discovery phase, and multi-module projects scale from there. Odoo licensing is separate and paid to Odoo S.A. — see our pricing page, with current user rates always at odoo.com/pricing.

Does Odoo handle GST 2.0 and GSTR filings?

Yes. The Indian localisation covers the GST 2.0 structure (5% and 18% slabs plus the 40% de-merit rate), a GSTR-1 report with validation checks — including misapplied IGST/CGST/SGST — GSTR-2B fetch-and-reconcile for vendor bills, and a GSTR-3B summary report. Filing itself stays with your business and your accountant.

What happens to our current partner if we switch to Oakland?

Partners change more often than anyone admits, and the handover is a technical exercise, not a negotiation. We run a takeover assessment, document what exists — configuration, custom code, data quality, integrations — and take over delivery from there. Your Odoo subscription and your data stay yours throughout.
