The Odoo market in Spain

Spain pairs a mid-sized partner bench with one of the deepest published delivery records in this snapshot: 114 listed partners carry 4,327 documented implementations and 473 certified experts — 38.0 implementations per listed partner, more than double the 16.7 all-country figure. The ten most-referenced Spanish listings account for 1,725 of those implementations, about 40% of the published national total.

Seven of the ten most-referenced Spanish listings hold Gold status and three Silver; those ten listings carry 199 certified experts between them — certification depth concentrated at the top of the directory, with a long tail of 68 Ready-tier listings publishing relatively little.

Spain's buying conversation runs in Spanish: the money searches are "precios odoo" and "partner odoo", and the education content — checklists, cost guides, implementation explainers — wins the service long-tail. Two textures are distinctly Spanish: buyers respond to fixed-scope, fixed-budget ("presupuesto cerrado") framing, and subsidy-funded digitalization has become part of the buying conversation, though we point clients to the current official calls rather than promise funding.

The partner landscape in Spain

The snapshot records 114 Odoo partners listed in Spain, with 10 listings at Gold level, 36 at Silver level and 68 at Ready level.

Tier counts are recorded per directory listing and do not always add up to the partner total, so read them as three independent counts rather than as a split of one number.

473 certified Odoo experts are listed in Spain.

Where Odoo delivers in Spain

Wholesale and retail trade leads Spain's published reference sectors, with manufacturing and maintenance in the top three — the same trade-plus-manufacturing spine as the rest of this EU wave. Documented Spanish projects average 10.4 users, with a large-project measure of 91.4 users for the multi-department rollouts.

The large-company tier has its own compliance rhythm: companies above €6M turnover, VAT groups and REDEME exporters have reported VAT records to the AEAT in near-real-time under SII since 2017 — so enterprise Odoo work in Spain has been compliance-integrated for years, and SII taxpayers are exempt from the new billing-system duties below.

Project size in Spain

Documented Odoo projects in Spain average 10.4 users.

The large-project measure recorded for Spain is 91.4 users, which is the size band a buyer should plan against for a multi-department rollout rather than a single-team pilot.

Market intensity

Spain records 38.0 documented implementations per listed partner. Across all 165 countries in this snapshot the figure is 16.7.

That is well above the all-country figure, which describes a concentrated market: a comparatively small number of partners carry most of the published delivery history.

This is a read on published delivery history, not on quality. A partner's unpublished work is invisible to the directory and therefore invisible to this figure.

Compliance and Odoo localization in Spain

Spain's e-invoicing regime — Veri*factu — is a software law, not a form. Under Ley 11/2021, RD 1007/2023, Orden HAC/1177/2024 and RD 254/2025, every billing system must produce tamper-proof, chained, verifiable billing records, and producing or selling a non-compliant system is itself a tax infraction. The deadlines published by the AEAT under RDL 15/2025: companies filing Corporate Income Tax must have compliant systems before 1 January 2027, all other taxpayers before 1 July 2027. Hacienda has officially signalled a further extension as planned — so treat the calendar as fluid — but an extension is preparation time, not a cancellation: the software obligation itself is already law.

Odoo ships the whole Spanish map: Veri*factu with the AEAT-verifiable QR code printed on every invoice, SII for the large-company fast lane, TicketBAI for the three Basque provincial regimes, and Facturae/FACe for invoicing public administrations — plus the Modelo report set (303, 347, 349, 390 and more) generated from the same ledger. Odoo publishes its declaración responsable as a software producer; that is self-certification, which is the correct frame — no vendor is "certified by the AEAT". VAT runs at the general 21%, with 10% and 4% reduced rates.

Payroll is the honest exception: Odoo payroll is not localized for Spain. The verified architecture is Odoo HR — employees, contracts, time off — with payroll run by a Spanish payroll provider or asesoría laboral, salary journal entries posting into Odoo accounting. We name that architecture plainly because it is how Spanish SMEs actually buy.

How Oakland delivers in Spain

Oakland serves Spain remote-first: senior consultants working your Europe/Madrid workweek (Monday to Friday), fixed-scope proposals in EUR, and one accountable team from discovery to go-live. We are headquartered in the UAE and do not claim a Spanish office — odoo.com registers partners by office location, so our Gold listing sits under the United Arab Emirates. The record behind it: 150+ projects delivered over 16+ years, 104 published references, a 90% customer-retention figure and an average project size of 17 users. Remote-first here means senior people on the call, not a rotating offshore bench.

Spain is served in Spanish — the language its compliance calendar is written in. Veri*factu technical specs, AEAT guidance and TicketBAI provincial rules all publish in Spanish first; fixed-scope proposals and the six-phase methodology land in the language the finance team works in.

The proof standard we hold ourselves to is the one the best Spanish firms use: named references you can call, a published implementation record, and retention you can verify on the odoo.com listing itself.

About this data

Source: Oakland OPRD — October 2026 snapshot of the official Odoo partner directory.

The figures count partner listings and customer implementations published in the directory at the time of the snapshot. They are a floor rather than a census: delivery that is not published in the directory is not counted.

The export is versioned in Oakland's repository, so every number on this page traces back to a dated file and year-on-year movement is a diff rather than a claim.
