Odoo in France — Market Report 2026
The October 2026 Oakland OPRD snapshot of the official Odoo partner directory records 147 Odoo partners and 3,809 documented customer implementations in France.
The Odoo market in France
France is the most Gold-dense market in this EU wave: 14 of its 147 listed partners hold Gold status, and nine of the ten most-referenced French listings are Gold — the strongest top-of-directory tier concentration of the five countries. The snapshot records 3,809 documented implementations and 369 certified experts in France, 25.9 implementations per listed partner against the 16.7 all-country figure.
The ten most-referenced French listings carry 1,524 documented implementations — about 40% of the published national total — with 96 certified experts among them. Below that top tier, France runs a broad mid-market: 103 Ready-tier listings against 30 Silver.
France's buying conversation is entirely French-language: the money searches are "prix odoo" and "partenaire odoo", and the partner-seeking results pages are dominated by official program content rather than by independent operators — the weakest incumbent ownership of any money search in this wave, and the clearest opening for education-first content. Nobody yet owns the explanation of the e-invoicing reform that took effect in September 2026.
The partner landscape in France
The snapshot records 147 Odoo partners listed in France, with 14 listings at Gold level, 30 at Silver level and 103 at Ready level.
Tier counts are recorded per directory listing and do not always add up to the partner total, so read them as three independent counts rather than as a split of one number.
369 certified Odoo experts are listed in France.
Where Odoo delivers in France
Wholesale and retail trade leads France's published reference sectors, with manufacturing and maintenance in the top three — the same trade-plus-manufacturing spine as the rest of this EU wave. Documented French projects average 12.2 users, with a large-project measure of 97.0 users for the multi-department rollouts.
Sector priorities are now set by the reform calendar: every company established in France must receive e-invoices since 1 September 2026, so any business with a large supplier base — retail and distribution above all — needed a working receive path from day one, ahead of the issuance obligations that phase in through 2027.
Project size in France
Documented Odoo projects in France average 12.2 users.
The large-project measure recorded for France is 97.0 users, which is the size band a buyer should plan against for a multi-department rollout rather than a single-team pilot.
Market intensity
France records 25.9 documented implementations per listed partner. Across all 165 countries in this snapshot the figure is 16.7.
That sits in line with the all-country figure, which describes a market where published delivery history is spread broadly across the listed partners.
This is a read on published delivery history, not on quality. A partner's unpublished work is invisible to the directory and therefore invisible to this figure.
Compliance and Odoo localization in France
France's e-invoicing reform is in force now. Since 1 September 2026, every company established in France must be able to receive electronic invoices through a state-approved platform (plateforme agréée, the former PDP), and large and mid-sized enterprises (GE/ETI) must additionally issue e-invoices and transmit e-reporting data; SMEs and micro-enterprises follow on 1 September 2027, when payment-data e-reporting also begins. Four new mandatory invoice mentions apply from the same September 2026 date. VAT runs at the standard 20%, with 10%, 5.5% and 2.1% reduced rates.
The single strongest France fact: Odoo is itself an officially certified plateforme agréée. Registration places the company in the official directory the next day and registers it on Peppol automatically; Odoo receives Factur-X, UBL and CII, submits e-reporting to the tax authorities on the ten-day cycle, and reaches Chorus Pro for public-sector invoicing — mandatory for French public entities since January 2020. A French buyer does not procure, integrate and pay a third-party platform on top of their ERP: one vendor, one compliance surface, one invoice flow.
Audit readiness is the second French moat. Since 2014, any company keeping computerized accounts must hand the tax authority a standards-compliant FEC file on demand during a contrôle fiscal — 18 mandatory fields in defined order — and Odoo exports and imports FEC natively; the DGFIP ships a free test tool to validate the file. VAT-liable retail sales require certified tamper-proof cash-register software under CGI art. 286, with a €7,500 fine for non-compliance; Odoo provides the certification module and the attestation. Payroll is the honest exception: Odoo payroll is not on the official localization list for France — a payroll-with-accounting module exists, but its depth is unverified — so the verified architecture is Odoo HR plus a French payroll provider or expert-comptable, journal entries flowing into Odoo accounting.
How Oakland delivers in France
Oakland serves France remote-first: senior consultants working your Europe/Paris workweek (Monday to Friday), fixed-scope proposals in EUR, and one accountable team from discovery to go-live. We are headquartered in the UAE and do not claim a French office — odoo.com registers partners by office location, so our Gold listing sits under the United Arab Emirates. The record behind it: 150+ projects delivered over 16+ years, 104 published references, a 90% customer-retention figure and an average project size of 17 users. Remote-first here means senior people on the call, not a rotating offshore bench.
France is served in French — the language of the reform. The September 2026 obligations, the four new invoice mentions and the FEC format norms are all published in French first; delivery, documentation and training land in the language the finance and operations teams work in.
The proof standard we hold ourselves to is the one the best French firms use: named references you can call, a published implementation record, and retention you can verify on the odoo.com listing itself.
About this data
Source: Oakland OPRD — October 2026 snapshot of the official Odoo partner directory.
The figures count partner listings and customer implementations published in the directory at the time of the snapshot. They are a floor rather than a census: delivery that is not published in the directory is not counted.
The export is versioned in Oakland's repository, so every number on this page traces back to a dated file and year-on-year movement is a diff rather than a claim.
